Zambia have unveiled a strong final squad for the 2026 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) as the Copper Queens prepare for a tough Group C campaign against defending champions Nigeria, Egypt and Malawi.
The Shepolopolo head into the tournament determined to extend their impressive record as the only CAF women’s national team to have qualified for every senior FIFA global tournament this decade.
The squad is expected to be led by several experienced stars as Zambia target a place in the knockout stages and a deep run in Morocco.
Zambia’s biggest group-stage test will come against Nigeria’s Super Falcons, who are aiming to defend their continental title after naming a strong squad for the tournament.
Egypt and debutants Malawi complete Group C, which is widely regarded as one of the most competitive groups at the championship.
The 2026 WAFCON will be held in Morocco from July 26 to August 16, with the Super Falcons and the Copper Queens expected to battle for top spot in Group C.
