NSC delegation meets FIFA president Infantino over Nigerian football reforms

A delegation of the National Sports Commission (NSC) and key stakeholders in Nigerian football on Tuesday met with FIFA President Gianni Infantino in Zurich, Switzerland, to discuss ongoing reforms and the future direction of Nigerian football.

 

The meeting comes in the wake of recent developments within the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), which culminated in the resignation of the board led by Alhaji Ibrahim Musa Gusau.

 

According to sources, the meeting was very fruitful, with both sides engaging in extensive discussions on critical issues affecting Nigerian football and possible measures to reposition the sport.

 

The talks focused largely on the ongoing reform process and the way forward for Nigerian football amid the recent administrative changes.

 

NSC Chairman, Mallam Shehu Dikko, and Director General, Hon. Bukola Olopade, were among the Nigerian delegation at the meeting.

 

Former FIFA Council member Amaju Pinnick was also in attendance alongside other key stakeholders in Nigerian football.
