Canadian Major League Soccer side CF Montréal have announced the mutual termination of Nigerian forward Ibrahim Sunusi’s contract.

The club confirmed the development in a statement, bringing an end to Sunusi’s spell with the Canadian outfit by mutual agreement.

“CF Montréal has announced that the Club and forward Sunusi Ibrahim have mutually agreed to terminate his contract,” the club said.

Sunusi joined CF Montréal after making a name for himself in the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL), where he emerged as one of the league’s leading goalscorers during his time with Nasarawa United.

The 23-year-old was regarded as one of Nigeria’s brightest attacking talents before securing his move abroad.

His next destination is yet to be announced as he becomes a free agent following the termination of his contract with the Canadian club.
