Nigeria has been awarded the hosting rights for the 2027 Africa Beach Volleyball Championship following approval from the National Olympic Committees of Africa (ANOCA).
The successful bid marks another major milestone for the country’s sports sector as it continues to attract continental sporting events.
The hosting rights add to Nigeria’s growing list of international competitions, with the National Sports Commission (NSC) already confirmed to stage the African School Games in 2027.
The Africa Beach Volleyball Championship is expected to bring together top beach volleyball players from across the continent, providing Nigeria with another opportunity to showcase its capacity to host major sporting events while promoting the development of the sport.
