Nigeria have been crowned champions of the 2026 African Nations U18 Boys Volleyball Championship after defeating hosts Egypt in straight sets in the final held in Alexandria on Wednesday, July 29.
The Nigerian team produced a dominant display to beat Egypt 3-0 (25-22, 25-21, 25-14), securing the continental title in impressive fashion.
Nigeria edged a closely contested opening set 25-22 before maintaining their momentum to claim the second set 25-21. The champions then delivered a commanding performance in the third set, cruising to a 25-14 victory to complete a comprehensive straight-sets triumph.
The victory caps an outstanding campaign for Nigeria, who emerged as the best team on the continent by overcoming the hosts in the championship decider to lift the 2026 African U18 Boys Volleyball Championship trophy.
