Nigerian long jumper Ese Brume produced her best performance of the 2026 season after winning the women’s long jump event at the USATF SD/Imperial Championships in Chula Vista, United States.
Brume secured victory with a season-best leap of 6.59 metres, recorded with a legal wind reading of +1.6m/s.
The three-time Olympian improved on her opening jump of 6.53 metres, which was aided by tailwind during the competition.
The latest performance marks a positive step in Brume’s season as she continues to build momentum ahead of upcoming international competitions.
