Nigeria’s Kayinsola Ajayi finished fourth in the men’s 100m at the Silesia Diamond League in Poland, clocking 9.94 seconds.
Jamaica’s Oblique Seville claimed the victory in a new meeting record of 9.83s, finishing ahead of Kenny Bednarek (9.87s) and Christian Coleman (9.93s).
Among the other African athletes, South Africa’s Gift Leotlela placed fifth in 9.95s, while Akani Simbine finished seventh in 9.96s. Cameroon’s Emmanuel Eseme was ninth in 9.99s.
Ajayi’s 9.94s continues his strong showing in the 100m as he builds towards the upcoming major athletics competitions.
