The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has confirmed that clubs eliminated in the preliminary rounds of its inter-club competitions will each receive a solidarity payment of USD 100,000.
The initiative forms part of CAF’s ongoing commitment to supporting clubs across the continent, strengthening football structures, and encouraging greater participation in its prestigious club competitions.
According to CAF, the solidarity payment is designed to provide financial support to clubs that feature in the competitions, even if they fail to progress beyond the preliminary stages.
