The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) has confirmed that the Super Falcons will take on long-time rivals Ghana in an international friendly as part of their preparations for the 2026 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) in Morocco.

The highly anticipated encounter is scheduled to take place at the Stade El Arbi Zaouli in Morocco, with kick-off set for 4:00 p.m. WAT.

The friendly will provide head coach Justine Madugu with a valuable opportunity to assess his squad and fine-tune tactics ahead of the continental showpiece.

Nigeria, Africa’s most successful women’s national team with 10 WAFCON titles, will begin the defence of their crown eight days later when they face Malawi in their opening Group C fixture.

The clash against Ghana is expected to offer the Super Falcons a stern test as they intensify preparations for another bid to extend their dominance in African women’s football.
