Paris Saint-Germain have retained the UEFA Super Cup after defeating Aston Villa 2-1, with Désiré Doué scoring the decisive goal.

The Champions League winners took the lead through Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, who cut inside from the left before finishing brilliantly to wrong-foot Aston Villa goalkeeper Marco Bizot.

Villa responded through 17-year-old Brian Madjo, who marked his professional debut with a goal to bring the Premier League side level and spark their comeback hopes.

However, Doué restored PSG’s advantage after racing in behind the Villa defence and calmly finishing to seal victory for the French champions.

The triumph means PSG have successfully defended the UEFA Super Cup they first won in 2025 after overcoming Tottenham Hotspur on penalties.

The result also gives Luis Enrique’s side another European trophy as they continue their dominance on the continental stage.
