Nigeria’s men’s and women’s national volleyball teams have recorded encouraging positions in the latest FIVB World Rankings following the conclusion of the 2026 CAVB Zone 3 Championship in Abidjan, Côte d’Ivoire.

The Nigerian men’s team is now ranked 52nd in the world, while the women’s team occupies the 103rd position in the latest global standings released by the International Volleyball Federation (FIVB).

The updated rankings reflect the teams’ performances during the regional championship, where Nigeria competed against other West African nations in the CAVB Zone 3 tournament.

The latest standings will serve as a boost for Nigerian volleyball as both teams continue preparations for upcoming continental and international competitions, with the FIVB rankings playing a significant role in tournament seedings and qualification pathways.
