Junior D’Tigress guard Tobi Owolabi has committed to Stetson University ahead of the upcoming NCAA basketball season.
Owolabi, who represented Nigeria at the 2026 FIBA U18 Women’s AfroBasket, impressed with her performances throughout the tournament, showcasing her scoring ability and shooting range.
The talented guard averaged 11.7 points, 2.8 rebounds and 1.7 assists per game, while shooting 31 percent from three-point range during the competition.
Her move to Stetson University will see her join the Hatters as she begins the next chapter of her collegiate basketball career in the United States.
Owolabi’s commitment further highlights the growing pathway for young Nigerian female basketball players to develop their careers through the NCAA system.
