Nigeria’s D’Tigress suffered a narrow defeat to Hungary in their second Group game at the 2026 FIBA Women’s Basketball World Cup, going down 71-67.
D’Tigress pushed Hungary all the way in a closely contested encounter but were unable to complete a late comeback after trailing heading into the final quarter.
Nigeria mounted a strong rally in the fourth quarter and came close to turning the game around, but Hungary held their nerve in the closing stages to secure a four-point victory.
The result leaves D’Tigress still searching for their first victory of the tournament after their opening-game defeat.
