The Jamaica Football Federation (JFF) has explained the circumstances surrounding the cancellation of the proposed international friendly match between the Reggae Girlz and Nigeria’s Super Falcons.
The friendly match was initially scheduled to take place in England but was later called off due to administrative issues.
In a statement released by the federation, the JFF reaffirmed its commitment to transparency and compliance with FIFA regulations following reports linked to the cancelled fixture involving both national teams.
“The Jamaica Football Federation has reaffirmed its commitment to FIFA compliance and transparency following recent reports surrounding the proposed fixture involving the Reggae Girlz and Nigeria,” the statement read.
The federation further explained that the cancellation was necessary to ensure that all arrangements and procedures met the required international standards.
The development comes as both teams continue preparations for upcoming international competitions, with the Super Falcons expected to engage in other warm-up matches ahead of their next assignments.
