Former Super Eagles goalkeeper Greg Etafia has been appointed as the new goalkeeper trainer of Tanzanian giants Young Africans SC.
Etafia joins the club as part of the technical team assembled by newly appointed head coach Manqoba Mngqithi ahead of the new season.
The former Nigeria international will work alongside a predominantly South African backroom staff, which includes former Bafana Bafana midfielder Kagisho Dikgacoi, coach Simo Dladla, and young football analyst Yardaan Valodia.
Etafia brings a wealth of experience to the role, having enjoyed a distinguished playing career before moving into coaching.
His appointment is expected to strengthen Young Africans’ goalkeeping department as the club prepares for domestic and continental competitions.
Young Africans are among the most successful clubs in Tanzania and will be aiming to build on their recent achievements under the guidance of the new technical crew.
