FIFA has officially unveiled the redesigned individual trophies that will be awarded at the 2026 World Cup, introducing refreshed versions of the competition’s most prestigious honours: the Golden Ball, Golden Boot, and Golden Glove.
The governing body confirmed that the updated awards will be presented after the tournament concludes, with each trophy recognising standout individual performances across different roles on the pitch best player, top scorer, and best goalkeeper respectively.
According to FIFA’s presentation, the redesign reflects a modern visual identity for the tournament while maintaining the tradition of celebrating individual excellence on football’s biggest stage.
The Golden Ball will go to the tournament’s best overall performer, the Golden Boot to the top scorer, and the Golden Glove to the standout goalkeeper.
The unveiling has added further anticipation ahead of the 2026 World Cup, with global stars set to compete not only for national glory but also for football’s most coveted individual honours.
