CAF unveils 2026/27 Champions League, Confederation Cup calendar

The Confederation of African Football has officially released the competition calendar for the 2026/27 editions of the CAF Champions League and CAF Confederation Cup.

According to the schedule, the preliminary rounds of both competitions will begin in September 2026, with the first phase set to take place between September 4 and 13, while the second preliminary round will be played from October 16 to 25.

The group stage is scheduled to run from November 27, 2026, to January 23, 2027, featuring six matchdays across the two continental club competitions.

The knockout phase will commence with the quarterfinals, which are slated for February 26 to March 7, 2027. The semifinals will then be played between April 9 and April 17, 2027.

CAF has also confirmed that the finals of both the Champions League and Confederation Cup will take place between May 9 and May 31, 2027, although exact dates for the decisive matches have yet to be announced.

The release of the calendar provides participating clubs and member associations with a clear roadmap for the upcoming continental campaign as Africa’s elite clubs prepare to battle for continental glory.
