Nigeria’s sprint sensation Kanyinsola Ajayi will continue his impressive 2026 campaign when he competes in the men’s 100 metres at the London Diamond League on Saturday, July 18.

Ajayi heads into the meeting in high spirits after winning the 100m title at the Eugene Diamond League and will face another stern test against a world-class field. His rivals include world indoor 60m champion Jordan Anthony, Olympic champion Letsile Tebogo, and 2025 world champion Oblique Seville.

The Nigerian sprinter will be aiming to maintain his fine form after defeating Seville at the Prefontaine Classic in Eugene.

Also in action for Nigeria will be Ezekiel Nathaniel, who is set for his second 400m hurdles race of the season. Nathaniel opened his campaign with a season-best time of 47.37 seconds and will be looking to build on that performance in London.

The Nigerian quarter-miler faces a challenging lineup featuring world record holder Karsten Warholm, American hurdler Trevor Bassitt, and Brazil’s Matheus Lima in what promises to be one of the highlights of the meeting.

Both Nigerian athletes will be hoping to deliver strong performances as they continue preparations for the major championships later this season.
