The Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) has taken a major step towards transforming the way domestic football is consumed, promoted and commercialised with the unveiling of a landmark YouTube live-streaming partnership with Murphy Ben International (MBI).
The partnership is expected to provide football fans with greater access to NPFL matches while expanding the league’s digital reach and creating new opportunities for the commercial growth of Nigerian football.
Through the agreement, selected NPFL matches will be streamed live on YouTube, allowing supporters in Nigeria and across the world to follow the domestic league through a more accessible digital platform.
The initiative is part of the NPFL’s broader efforts to modernise its media operations, increase the visibility of its clubs and players, and attract a wider global audience to Nigerian football.
The partnership with MBI is also expected to strengthen the league’s digital presence and provide a platform through which the NPFL can engage younger audiences who increasingly consume sports content online.
The move comes ahead of the 2026/27 NPFL season and represents another significant step in the league’s efforts to improve its media and commercial value.
With the YouTube streaming partnership, the NPFL hopes to bring Nigerian domestic football closer to fans while opening new avenues for sponsorship, advertising and digital revenue.
