Nigeria’s Flying Eagles have been drawn in a challenging Group B for the upcoming WAFU B U20 Championship, which will serve as the qualifying tournament for the U20 Africa Cup of Nations.
The draw, conducted on Wednesday afternoon, paired the seven-time African champions with hosts Ghana, Togo, and Burkina Faso in what is expected to be a fiercely contested group.
The Flying Eagles will be aiming to secure one of the qualification spots for the continental tournament as they prepare to battle three familiar West African rivals.
In Group A, Niger, Côte d’Ivoire, and Benin will compete for qualification.
The WAFU B U20 Championship is expected to provide an intense contest among the region’s top youth teams as they vie for places at the next U20 Africa Cup of Nations.
