The Basketball Africa League (BAL) has announced a major commercial milestone after securing a multi-year partnership with global sportswear giant Puma ahead of the 2026 season.
The agreement, unveiled during the week, designates Puma as the Official Outfitter of the BAL, further strengthening the league’s growing global footprint and commercial appeal.
The partnership is set to take effect from the opening day of the 2026 BAL season, which tips off on Friday, March 27, at the SunBet Arena in Pretoria.
Under the terms of the collaboration, Puma will supply all official BAL apparel, covering teams, referees, and fans. This includes game uniforms, warm-up kits, training gear, and accessories.
The brand will also provide specially designed apparel for participants involved in the league’s social impact initiatives and player development programs.
The deal represents a significant step in the BAL’s efforts to align with leading global brands, while also enhancing the league’s identity both on and off the court as it continues to expand its influence across Africa and beyond.
