Germany maintained their perfect start to the 2026 FIFA World Cup with a hard-fought 2-1 comeback victory over Ivory Coast in their Group E clash.
The Ivorians took the lead in the 29th minute through midfielder Franck KessiƩ, who put his side ahead and gave the African nation hope of a positive result against the European giants.
Germany, however, responded strongly in the second half and found an equaliser in the 67th minute through Deniz Undav.
With the match heading towards a draw, Undav struck again deep into stoppage time, scoring in the 90th minute to complete the turnaround and hand Germany all three points.
The victory moves Germany to the top of Group E with six points from two matches, while Ivory Coast remain on three points after their opening-round success.
Germany will now look to seal top spot in the group when they face Ecuador in their final group-stage fixture.
