Italian club Inter Milan have completed the signing of Nigeria international Toni Payne, with the Super Falcons forward putting pen to paper on a contract that will keep her at the club until June 30, 2028.
The Nerazzurri confirmed the arrival of the 30-year-old striker following her stint with English Women’s Super League side Everton.
Born on April 22, 1995, in Birmingham, Alabama, to Nigerian parents, Payne began her football journey alongside her sisters, Nicole and Stephen, both of whom have also represented Nigeria at international level.
Payne moved to Europe in 2017 after a spell with Ajax before joining Spanish side Sevilla in 2018. During her six-year stay at the club, she made 168 appearances and scored 30 goals, establishing herself as one of the standout forwards in Liga F.
She joined Everton in 2024 before sealing her move to Inter Milan ahead of the new season.
At international level, Payne represented the United States at the U-17 level before switching allegiance to Nigeria. She made her senior debut for the Super Falcons in 2021 and has since become a key member of the national team.
Inter will hope her experience and attacking quality will strengthen the squad as they prepare for the upcoming campaign.
