Nigeria’s Seun Ogunsakin has started his campaign at the ongoing US Open Junior Tennis Championships on a winning note.
The Aurum Tennis Academy sensation defeated Poland’s Tymon Litwic 6-3, 6-0 in his opening qualifying match to book his place in the final round of the qualifiers.
Ogunsakin produced a dominant performance, dropping just three games across the match as he moved one victory away from securing a place in the tournament’s main draw.
The US Open qualifying campaign continues Ogunsakin’s impressive run on the Grand Slam circuit, having featured in the qualifying rounds at Roland Garros, Wimbledon and now the US Open.
The Nigerian youngster will be aiming to complete the job in the final qualifying round and earn a place in the US Open Junior Championships main draw.
