The Nigeria Sports Commission (NSC) has cleared all outstanding allowances due to the Super Falcons, covering their training camp and the entire duration of the group stage through to the final of the 2026 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) in Morocco.
The payment is expected to provide a significant morale boost for the nine-time African champions as they prepare to begin their quest for another continental title.
The Super Falcons will open their WAFCON campaign against Malawi on July 28 before taking on the remaining fixtures in the group stage.
With financial obligations settled ahead of the tournament, the team can now focus fully on preparations as they aim to reclaim the African crown in Morocco.
