Team Nigeria claimed a silver medal in the men’s 4x100m relay at the ongoing 2026 Commonwealth Games in Glasgow after delivering a season-best performance of 38.12 seconds.

The Nigerian quartet of Favour Ashe, Kayinsola Ajayi, Nicholas Fakorede, and Udodi Onwuzurike produced an impressive display to finish second in a thrilling final.

Australia secured the gold medal with a winning time of 38.07 seconds, while Canada, who initially crossed the finish line in second place, were later disqualified, promoting Nigeria to the silver medal position.

The result marks another significant achievement for Team Nigeria in Glasgow, with the relay team showing excellent speed and baton exchanges to record their fastest time of the season. Their performance further underlines Nigeria’s growing strength in sprint relay events on the international stage.
