NFF confirms Maikaba, Uwejamomere as U20,U17 head coach

The Nigeria Football Federation has appointed Eboboritse Uwejamomere as the new head coach of the Golden Eaglets (U-17), while experienced tactician Abdu Maikaba has been named head coach of the Flying Eagles (U-20).

Uwejamomere, who currently serves as coach-analyst for the Super Eagles, combines international experience with youth development expertise.

He is also the head coach of Sporting Lagos FA and has previously worked in England with the youth setups of Millwall FC, Gillingham FC and Nottingham Forest FC.

The newly appointed Golden Eaglets coach also had a stint as head coach of Nigeria National League side Stormers SC.

Meanwhile, Maikaba takes charge of the Flying Eagles following years of experience in the Nigeria Premier Football League, where he managed several top-flight clubs.

The veteran coach is also a former President Federation Cup winner, having lifted the title in 2017.

The appointments are part of the federation’s efforts to strengthen Nigeria’s youth national teams ahead of upcoming continental and international competitions.
