Fulham midfielder Alex Iwobi has been shortlisted for the Premier League Player of the Month award for March after a series of standout performances for the London club.

The Nigeria international has grown into a pivotal figure at Craven Cottage, with his nomination highlighting a shift in perception following consistent displays in a deeper midfield role. His influence has been key to Fulham’s push for European qualification.

Iwobi featured in all four of Fulham’s league fixtures during the month, helping the team secure two wins, one draw and one defeat, while also getting on the scoresheet.

Beyond his goal contribution, his composure on the ball, tactical awareness and ability to link play have been central to Fulham’s midfield balance.

The competition for the award is, however, intense. Bruno Fernandes is among the frontrunners after recording six goal involvements in four matches for Manchester United, while Anthony Gordon impressed with three goals in three appearances for Newcastle United.

Nottingham Forest’s Morgan Gibbs-White and Brighton forward Danny Welbeck also made strong claims with three goals each, while James Garner and Arsenal goalkeeper David Raya delivered notable performances for their respective sides.

Iwobi, remains Nigeria’s most-capped player in the Premier League, having made 316 appearances across spells with Arsenal, Everton and Fulham.
