Nigeria’s D’Tigers have suffered a second consecutive defeat in the FIBA Basketball World Cup Qualifiers after losing 82–79 to South Sudan in a closely contested encounter.

The Nigerian side put up a valiant fight but ultimately fell short by three points, leaving their hopes of securing a place at the next FIBA Basketball World Cup hanging by a thread.
