English Championship side Charlton Athletic have agreed a deal to sign Nigeria international goalkeeper Arthur Okonkwo on a season-long loan from Wrexham AFC.
Okonkwo is expected to spend the 2026/27 campaign with Charlton as he looks to secure regular playing time and continue his development.
The 24-year-old goalkeeper has just one year remaining on his contract with Wrexham, meaning he is set to become a free agent at the end of next season unless a new agreement is reached.
Okonkwo joined Wrexham permanently after previously spending time with the club on loan and played a key role in their rise through the English football pyramid.
The Nigeria international will now begin a new chapter at Charlton, with the loan move providing him with an opportunity to establish himself as the club’s first-choice goalkeeper.
