The dates for the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) have been officially confirmed.
The tournament, which will be jointly hosted by Kenya, Uganda, and Tanzania, is set to run from June 19 to July 18, 2027.
Branded as “Pamoja” a Swahili word meaning “together” the competition will mark a historic milestone as the first time the three East African nations co-host Africa’s premier football tournament.
This landmark event highlights growing regional collaboration and a shared commitment to advancing football across the continent.
The month-long championship is expected to bring together the continent’s top national teams, with host nations already intensifying preparations to deliver state-of-the-art facilities and seamless organization.
Beyond the pitch, AFCON 2027 is projected to deliver significant economic benefits, including a major boost to tourism, infrastructure development, and local economies in Kenya, Uganda, and Tanzania.
The tournament will also provide a global platform to showcase the region’s vibrant culture and deep passion for the beautiful game.
