Nigerian goalkeeper Kayode Bankole has completed a free transfer to Tanzanian Premier League newcomers Gold Geita FC after signing a one-year contract with the club.

The 23-year-old joins Gold Geita following his departure from South African Premier Soccer League side TS Galaxy, where he spent a season without making a competitive appearance.

Bankole moved to TS Galaxy in 2025 after leaving former Nigeria Premier Football League champions Remo Stars at the expiration of his contract. However, limited opportunities saw him endure a frustrating spell with the South African club.

His switch to Gold Geita FC offers the former Super Eagles goalkeeper a fresh opportunity to revive his career and secure regular playing time after nearly a year on the sidelines.

Gold Geita FC earned promotion to the Tanzanian Premier League after winning the NBC Championship last season. The club also has continental experience, having represented Tanzania in the 2022/23 CAF Confederation Cup.
