Kano Pillars have officially unveiled Daniel Ogunmodede as their new head coach ahead of the 2026/27 Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) season.
The former Remo Stars manager, who guided the Ikenne-based club to the NPFL title, takes over with the task of leading one of Nigeria’s most successful football clubs back to the summit of domestic football.
Speaking during his unveiling, Ogunmodede outlined his ambitions for the Sai Masu Gida, insisting that his target is to win the NPFL title or, at the very least, secure a continental ticket for the club.
The experienced tactician also vowed to instill a winning mentality within the squad and restore Kano Pillars to their status as one of the country’s leading football clubs.
Ogunmodede’s appointment is seen as a major statement of intent by Kano Pillars as they prepare for the new campaign, with supporters hoping his proven pedigree can usher in a new era of success for the former NPFL champions.
