Ahead of the 2026/2027 Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) season, Kano Pillars have confirmed the appointment of Daniel Ogunmodede as the club’s new Technical Adviser.
The Sai Masu Gida reached an agreement with the highly-rated coach as part of efforts to strengthen the team’s technical setup before the start of the new campaign.
Confirming the appointment in an official statement, the club welcomed Ogunmodede to the Kano-based side.
“We’ve reached an agreement to appoint Daniel Ogunmodede (Ijaball) as our new Technical Adviser ahead of the 2026/2027 football season. Welcome to Kano and the Sai Masu Gida family. We are happy to have you with us,” the statement read.
Ogunmodede arrives with a strong reputation in Nigerian football and is expected to lead Kano Pillars’ quest for success in the upcoming NPFL season.
His appointment signals the club’s ambition to compete strongly for honours as preparations for the new league campaign gather momentum.
