Belgium produced a remarkable second-half comeback to defeat Senegal 3-2 in their 2026 FIFA World Cup Round of 32 clash, ending the Teranga Lions’ campaign.
Senegal made a blistering start to the encounter, racing into a two-goal lead through strikes from Disarray and Ismaila Sarr, leaving Belgium with a mountain to climb.
However, the Red Devils responded strongly after the break as Romelu Lukaku pulled one back before Youri Tielemans restored parity with a well-taken effort to make it 2-2.
With the game seemingly heading for extra time, Senegal conceded a late penalty. Tielemans calmly converted from the spot to complete Belgium’s dramatic turnaround and seal a 3-2 victory.
The result sends Belgium into the Round of 16, while Senegal bow out of the tournament after surrendering a two-goal advantage.
