Nigeria U-20 women’s national team head coach, Moses Aduku, and Team Administrator Kelechi Omeke will attend Friday’s draw ceremony for the 2026 FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup in Poland.
The draw ceremony is scheduled to take place at the EC1 Cultural Centre in Łódź, one of the host cities for the competition.
Nigeria’s Falconets secured qualification for the tournament alongside Benin Republic, Ghana and Tanzania, who will represent Africa at the 24-team championship slated for September 5 to 27 across the Polish cities of Łódź, Katowice, Sosnowiec and Bielsko-Biała.
Ahead of the draw, FIFA has placed all qualified teams into four pots of six teams each, with six groups of four teams to be formed for the tournament proper.
The 2026 edition will feature six debutants hosts Poland, Portugal, New Caledonia, Ecuador, Tanzania and Benin Republic while Germany will miss the competition for the first time in history.
European representatives include hosts Poland, France, Italy, England, Portugal and Spain, while Asia will be represented by China, South Korea, Japan and North Korea.
North and Central America will have Mexico, the United States and Costa Rica, while Brazil, Ecuador, Argentina and Colombia will fly the flag for South America. Oceania’s representatives are New Zealand and New Caledonia.
Nigeria, who have featured in every edition of the competition, were drawn in Pot 2 alongside the United States, Canada, Colombia, Mexico and New Zealand.
Ghana, making their eighth appearance at the tournament, are in Pot 3 with South Korea, England, Argentina, China and Italy.
