Nigeria has been thrown into mourning following the sudden death of former Super Eagles striker Mike Eneramo, who reportedly slumped and died at the age of 40.
Eneramo, a physically imposing forward, began his professional career with Lobi Stars in 2004 before earning a move abroad to Tunisia, where he rose to prominence with Espérance Sportive de Tunis.
During his time with the Tunisian giants, Eneramo established himself as a prolific striker, scoring an impressive 51 goals in 86 appearances and becoming a fan favourite for his strength and finishing ability.
Beyond Tunisia, the journeyman forward featured for clubs across multiple leagues, including stints in Turkey, Algeria, and Saudi Arabia, carving out a respectable career on the international club scene.
On the international stage, Eneramo earned 10 caps for Nigeria and scored three goals for the Super Eagles, contributing his quota during his time with the national team.
His sudden passing marks a painful loss for Nigerian football, with former teammates, fans, and stakeholders expected to pay tribute to a striker remembered for his physical presence and goal-scoring instincts.
