The lineup for the FIBA Women’s Basketball World Cup 2026 has been officially finalized following the conclusion of the qualifying tournaments staged across four host cities: İstanbul in Türkiye, Lyon-Villeurbanne in France, San Juan in Puerto Rico, and Wuhan in China.

A total of 16 national teams have secured their places at the global showpiece, setting the stage for a highly competitive tournament.

Host nation Germany automatically qualified and will be joined by powerhouse sides such as USA Women’s National Basketball Team, Spain Women’s National Basketball Team, and France Women’s National Basketball Team.

Africa will be represented by Nigeria Women’s National Basketball Team and Mali Women’s National Basketball Team, with Nigeria aiming to build on their recent dominance on the continent.

Asia also boasts strong representation with China Women’s National Basketball Team, Japan Women’s National Basketball Team, and South Korea Women’s National Basketball Team making the cut.

Other qualified nations include Australia Women’s National Basketball Team, Belgium Women’s National Basketball Team, Czech Republic Women’s National Basketball Team, Hungary Women’s National Basketball Team, Italy Women’s National Basketball Team, Türkiye Women’s National Basketball Team, and Puerto Rico Women’s National Basketball Team.

With the qualification process now complete, attention shifts to the tournament proper, where the world’s best women’s basketball teams will battle for global supremacy.
