Nigeria’s D’Tigress concluded their campaign at the FIBA Women’s World Cup Qualifying Tournament in France with a defeat to Germany on Tuesday.
The Nigerian side started the game on a positive note but fell short in the opening quarter, losing 14–17. The Europeans maintained their edge going into halftime, leading 35–31.
D’Tigress showed resilience in the third quarter, fighting back to level the score at 52–52 heading into the final period. However, Germany pulled away in the closing minutes to secure an 81–73 victory.
With the result, Nigeria ended their qualifying campaign with two wins and three losses from five matches played in the tournament organized by FIBA.
