Rwanda has been confirmed as the host nation for the 47th edition of the CAVB Men’s Club Championship, scheduled to take place in 2026, marking a major milestone for volleyball in the country.

The Confederation of African Volleyball (CAVB) announced the decision following a meeting of its executive board, citing Rwanda’s growing reputation as a reliable host for continental sporting events.

This will be the first time Rwanda will stage the prestigious men’s club competition, which brings together top volleyball clubs from across Africa to battle for continental supremacy.

Rwanda’s selection comes after the country successfully hosted several international tournaments in recent years, with Kigali expected to serve as the main host city.

The championship is regarded as one of Africa’s most competitive club volleyball tournaments and serves as a qualifier for the FIVB Club World Championship.

Further details regarding match venues, dates and participating clubs are expected to be announced by the CAVB in the coming months.
