Three players from Nigeria’s Flying Eagles Adeleke, Lucky and Alfred have been named in the official Team of the Tournament following the conclusion of the WAFU B U20 Championship.
Despite Nigeria’s failure to win the competition, the trio impressed with their performances throughout the tournament and earned recognition from the Technical Study Group (TSG).
The tournament came to an end after an intense competition that showcased several emerging talents from across the West African region.
The TSG unveiled the official Team of the Tournament in a 4-4-2 formation, with Burkina Faso head coach Oscar Barro, who guided his side to the WAFU B U20 title, named as coach.
According to the TSG, the selected players stood out through their commitment, consistency and impact during key moments of the competition.
The inclusion of Adeleke, Lucky and Alfred highlights the quality and individual performances produced by the Flying Eagles despite falling short of lifting the trophy.
