Nigeria’s Super Falcons head coach, Justine Madugu, has expressed confidence ahead of his side’s crucial 2026 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) Group B clash against Zambia on Saturday.
The defending champions are under pressure to secure all three points after suffering a disappointing result in their opening group game, making the encounter against the Copper Queens a must-win to keep their title defence on course.
Speaking ahead of the game, Madugu said the team has moved on from the setback and is fully focused on the challenge posed by Zambia.
“The feeling is good. Everyone is looking very bright. We have put behind us the disappointment of the last game. We are looking forward to the game against Zambia,” Madugu said.
Victory for the Super Falcons would revive their hopes of progressing to the knockout stage and keep alive their quest for another continental title.
