Nigeria’s Flamingos will battle Italy in the Round of 16 of the ongoing FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup.
The Nigerian girls sealed their knockout spot after a commanding 4-0 victory over Samoa in their final Group D match on Saturday.
The result ensured the Flamingos advanced as one of the best third-placed teams in the group stage.
They will now face a tough test against Group A winners Italy, who cruised through the preliminary stage with a perfect record of three wins from three.
The crucial encounter is scheduled for Tuesday, October 28.
