Portuguese tactician José Mourinho has been confirmed as the new head coach of Spanish La Liga giants Real Madrid, marking his return to the Santiago Bernabéu for a second stint.
The appointment comes after Real Madrid president Florentino Pérez fulfilled a major campaign promise he made during the club’s presidential elections.
Pérez had pledged to bring Mourinho back to the club if re-elected, and following his successful re-election, he moved swiftly to appoint the former Chelsea manager.
Mourinho previously managed Real Madrid between 2010 and 2013, guiding the club to a La Liga title, a Copa del Rey triumph, and a Spanish Super Cup during his first spell in charge.
The experienced Portuguese coach, renowned for his winning mentality and tactical expertise, now faces the challenge of leading Los Blancos back to domestic and European success as he begins a new chapter at the club.
Real Madrid supporters will be hoping that Mourinho’s return can usher in another successful era at the Spanish capital club. :::
