Newly promoted Ipswich Town has confirmed the permanent signing of Nigerian forward Chuba Akpom from AFC Ajax for an undisclosed fee.
The striker joins the club after his spell with the Dutch side, bringing with him valuable experience from top-flight football across Europe.
Akpom, who has previously featured in the English Premier League, Championship and Eredivisie, is expected to strengthen the club’s attacking options ahead of the new season.
The club expressed delight over the completion of the transfer and welcomed the Nigerian-born forward to the team following the successful conclusion of negotiations with Ajax.
