Premier League side Fulham F.C. have decided against activating the €24 million option to sign Nigerian winger Samuel Chukwueze on a permanent basis from AC Milan.
According to reports from Tuttomercato, the London club will not proceed with a full transfer for the Super Eagles star following the expiration of his season-long loan spell at Craven Cottage.
Chukwueze enjoyed a decent campaign with Fulham where he contributed 3 goals and 4 assists across all competitions, helping the club during the course of the season.
Despite his contributions, Fulham’s management have opted not to meet the agreed purchase clause, meaning the former Villarreal winger will now return to San Siro ahead of the new season.
The 27-year-old is expected to link up with AC Milan for pre-season preparations as his future remains uncertain amid possible interest from other European clubs.
