Nottingham Forest manager, Nuno Espirito Santo, has urged caution regarding Taiwo Awoniyi’s injury after the striker was hurt during the team’s FA Cup win over Exeter FC.
The Nigerian forward sustained a nose injury, and the club’s medical team is closely monitoring his condition.
“He broke his nose, so he’s in pain and is being attended to by the medical staff,” Santo said during a press conference on Thursday.
“It’s a concussion, so we need to be very careful. He seems fine, he’s smiling despite the pain. However, we need to give it two or three days to ensure he recovers properly before deciding what’s next.”
