WAFCON 2026: Cameroon thrash Malawi to lift trophy

Cameroon’s Indomitable Lionesses have been crowned champions of the 2026 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) in Morocco after a convincing 3–0 victory over Malawi in the final.

Cameroon dominated the encounter and sealed the continental title with a commanding performance.

Marie Ngah Manga opened the scoring for the Indomitable Lionesses before Naomi Eto doubled their advantage.

Ngah Manga then completed her brace to put the result beyond doubt and secure a comfortable victory for Cameroon.

The triumph sees Cameroon claim the 2026 WAFCON crown after an impressive campaign in Morocco, with the Indomitable Lionesses finishing the tournament as the best team in Africa.
