Bendel Insurance head coach, Kennedy Boboye, has been cleared to return to the technical area after his suspension was suspended by the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) Disciplinary Committee.

The decision followed a review of the case, with the league body considering Bendel Insurance’s appeal and Boboye’s conduct before approving the suspension of the sanction with immediate effect.

In a statement released by the club, Bendel Insurance confirmed that Boboye is now eligible to lead the Benin Arsenal from the touchline, starting with their opening fixture of the 2026/27 NPFL season against Warri Wolves in Benin on Sunday, August 30.

“Following a careful review of the case, Bendel Insurance FC’s appeal and the coach’s good conduct, the sanction against Coach Boboye has been suspended forthwith,” the club stated.

The development has been welcomed by the Bendel Insurance family, with the management expressing appreciation to the NPFL and its Disciplinary Committee for what it described as a fair consideration and favourable verdict.

Boboye, an experienced Nigerian tactician, will now begin preparations with the team ahead of the new NPFL campaign as Bendel Insurance aim for a strong start to the season.
