The Spanish Super Cup will be staged in Istanbul, Turkey, marking the end of Saudi Arabia’s run as host of the competition
The tournament, which features four of Spain’s top-performing clubs from the previous season, has been held in Saudi Arabia in recent years under an agreement with the Royal Spanish Football Federation (RFEF).
However, the next edition is now set to take place in Istanbul, with Turkey emerging as the new host nation for the prestigious competition.
The Spanish Super Cup is contested in a four-team knockout format involving the La Liga champions, Copa del Rey winners, and the runners-up or next best-qualified teams from both competitions.
